Subdural Hematoma
Crescent shaped hematoma, between brain and dura.
Caused by either torn cortical arteriole or vein bridging from brain to sagittal sinus.
Usually associated with diffuse brain injury, immediate coma, cerebral edema.
Immediate surgery usually required to evacuate hematoma and reduce ICP.
30 % mortality, 30% good outcome.
