Epidural Hematoma
Lens shaped hematoma between dura and skull.
Associated with skull fracture and laceration of dural artery.
Underlying brain is usually not injured.
Patient typically has brief lucid interval before neurological deterioration.
If treated promptly, most patients make full recovery. If not, elevated ICP leads to secondary injury or herniation..
