Basilar Skull Fracture
Fx of orbital roof, sphenoid bone, or petro-mastoid portion of temporal bone
Battle’s or racoons eye signs
Non-displaced fx usually heal on own
Special attention required:
- May be associated with injury to CN 2, 7, 8
- CSF otorhea, rhinorhea
- Displaced fractures
