The Medical Student Informatics Group (MSIG) is a student service group at the University of Utah School of Medicine that develops computer resources tailored for medical students by medical students. MSIG's mission is:
- To educate medical students about computer resources available to students
- To coordinate information gathering, website development and other student computer projects
- To motivate the students to develop their computer and information management skills
- To advocate the optimal utilization and further development of computer resources
Not only do we increase medical student awareness of the field of medical informatics and current technologies, but we also provide experience by creating additional on-line tools that connect students to other students, school officials, and learning aids.
