The MSA will sponsor a tree for the Festival of Trees themed “Heal the World.” Congratulations to Melissa Burrow, who has won a pair of Festival tickets for suggesting the winning theme. We now need to mobilize to make her idea a reality! You can get involved by helping to plan or shop, coming to a decorating day, or donating or loaning supplies (e.g., glue guns, Christmas fabric and ribbon, scissors, and paint brushes). Email Laurel if you are willing to help!

Feeding the Homeless

Monday, November 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul Homeless Shelter, 427 W. 200 S., Salt Lake City

Contact: Michelle Brownell at 587-1345 (please leave a message)

We have a great opportunity this year to serve our community’s homeless during the holidays. The center is just south of
Gateway Mall. There is minimal parking behind the shelter; you may also park on the street by the mall and walk over. We will start serving around noon, but ask that you arrive at 11:30 to get your assignment. There is free lunch if you are interested, and babysitting will be provided at a nearby building. We need a head count, so please contact Michelle if you’ll be able to come.

Meals for the Jacobsons

Contact: Aimee Hansen at ahansen322@gmail.com

Many of you have generously supplied meals for fourth-year medical student Trevor Jacobson and his family. We would like to continue to support the Jacobsons. Please contact Aimee Hansen if you would like to provide a meal.
