Recommended Books

The syllabus in this course is very good, so many students don't use a textbook at all. Most students, however, feel they need a good atlas to supplement the laboratory portion of the course. Some students use the HyperHistology computer program at the library and feel it is adequate as a sole source of images. Many students feel that the tests in this course are very detail-oriented; that is, that they focus on minutiae. If you do take the time to read a textbook, you probably won't feel as nit-picked come test- time. Almost all of the histo on the boards consists of either pathologic specimens or electron micrographs.

Study Aids

Here are various study aids made by former students. Some are better than others. Don't think you need to use all of them, or ANY of them. Please e-mail your class webmaster with any study aids that you make and they will be posted here.

REMEMBER that the curriculum has undergone extensive revisions in the past few years. Anything created more than 2 years ago may not be the best study guide for the current year. Check out last year's stuff first.
