The Scoop This course is taught extremely well and will be one of the highlights of your first year in medical school. Unlike most of your other courses, the teacher provides a very limited syllabus. This is because the required text, Medical Genetics, by Jorde pretty much is the syllabus (it was written from the old syllabus). You can pass the class without it, but having it makes life so much easier and the class much more enjoyable. Ninety-five percent of the slides shown in class and the material covered during lecture is word for word right out of the text.
